25/06/2009- Northern Ireland Grand Finalists selected
Twelve semi-finalists hit the runway at The Black Box in Belfast, to compete for a place in the Northern Ireland final of Miss Earth UK. The spectacular eco-friendly fashion show witnessed the gorgeous green goddesses showcase fashions from some of the region’s most chic independent and high-street fashion retailers. Dazzled by the latest fashions and trends of fashion emporium, Chocolate, luxury boutique, Madison Rose, high street headliner, Urban Outfitters and local vintage store, East Belfast Mission, to name but a few.

The specialist judging panel which included Melissa Patton, former Miss Northern Ireland who now manages Converse Models’ Agency, Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2008, Gemma Walker, leading fashion photographer, Khara Pringle and renowned publicist and Sunday Life showbiz columnist, Tina Calder. The final six will now travel to Leamington Spa on Saturday 22nd August for the grand final crowning ceremony to compete for the crowning of Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2009 leading to the World class Miss Earth, a year’s modelling contract with local Northern Ireland agency, Converse Models, and a portfolio shot by Khara Pringle.
01/06/2009- Scotland Grand Finalists selected
The weekend ended with the results of our 6 Grand Finalists walking away with a direct place in the Grand Final on Saturday 22nd August 2009. Our Scotland Green Goddesses dazzled the official judging panel who consisted of Alan Rough Former International goal keeper and of Real Radio, Miss Earth Scotland Courtney St John, Jason Cowan of Big Brother, Adrian Cole of Radio Clyde, Top Fashion Designer Spencer Railton, Erin Gavin Actress and Models Agent, Fake Bake Consultant to the Stars - Lisa Fulton, Singer / Songwriter Sarah Cassidy, Aria Danesh TV / Actor, comedian Scott Agnew and Radio Clydes Josie Smith were given the responsibility of selecting our final 6 green goddesses will compete for the prestigious Miss Earth Scotland title.
Sarah Finlay who had the overall highest scores on the night also walking away with the official regional title Miss Earth Glasgow 2009 and sponsored by McDonald’s Bellshill

Gillan Murphy has teamed with Glitz to sell the dress worn by her at the Glasgow semi final on Ebay. The dress is absolutely stunning and is covered in sequins, so it is really sparkly and gorgeous. Gillian’s dress is a size 8/10 and is worth £350.00. The bidding is currently £16.00 WHAT A BARGAIN! and ends on 2nd June.All proceeds will be given to THE BIG TREE PROJECT and the more money we can raise the more tree’s we can plant.

19/01/08 - "Beauty for a Cause " SPECIAL AWARD
Aine Gormley Miss Earth Northern Ireland 2007 who has a degree in environmental science, went on to compete against contestants from around the world. Aine had to give a short presentation to the Vietnamese National Youth Federation and the Miss Earth chairman on what she had done for the protection of the environment."Aine reached the Top 5 in a special award ceremony called "Beauties for a cause "
The five bright contestants chosen represented Sierra Leone, Northern Ireland, Singapore, South Africa and the Congo who possessed excellent world knowledge and had contributed considerably to environmental conservation in their home towns.
They fired off sharp, thoughtful answers, leaving the judges impressed.Aine Gormley, impressed judges with her outstanding global awareness and academic achievements. Aine has published research at a PhD level and also contributed to the United Nations.
After much consideration, the Filipino and Vietnamese judges had made their decision and Miss South Africa was named the winner of “Beauty for a Cause,” a prestigious title along side the four main prizes: Miss Earth, Miss Water, Miss Fire and Miss Air.

20/10/07 - Miss Earth UK winners arrive in the Philippines
The Miss Earth UK winners arrived safely in the Philippines. The UK winners have been split into groups alongside Miss USA, Canada, Peru, Philippines etc and one group will be travelling to vietnam for a week to visit an orphanage.Other groups will be going to the tv channel ABS CBN to record the opening for the pageant in their national costume to be aired over ABS CBN Channel 2, with more than 90 delegates from across the globe participating and with Star World and TFC to cover the Pageant in all its footprints on a delayed telecast.
It is the only major World class beauty pageant that promotes care and preservation for the planets environment and ecology and requires its candidates and winners to embrace the cause.
