Courtney has a Degree in Business Marketing and is also our Miss Earth Glasgow Regional Winner. Courtney sponsored by Interlink Lighting to reach the Miss Earth UK Grand Final.

Since being crowned, i now have the chance and opportunity to help make a difference, to help protect and better the world that we live in. I propose that we, as humans, who depend on Mother Nature and her environment, should commit to a life long programme to help and stop global warming. A programme that will help to minimise the environmental damages that are caused by our own waste and created due to our naive way of living.

I now aim to encourage others around me, to explain and show them that a little really does go a long way, if we can educate each individual and urge them to adopt their own environmental project, the effects will eventually show. A prime example of how to do this is focused around the three most important "R's" - Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. Every town and city, regardless of location has an area that is in urgent need of that special TLC.

We need to raise this awareness to our population, young and old, as it is never to late to learn about the effects and the dangers that our lives have on the whole environment. If we start adjusting to the changes that are required and asked of us and take action NOW, then the benefits will be visible in not only our own futures but our children's future too.
