| Miss Earth UK awards four titles representing the four elements: Miss Fire, Miss Water, Miss Air. The Miss Earth title being the top award awarded to the overall winners of the England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland country titles. The four overall UK country winners of Miss Earth UK will travel to the Miss Earth world-class international competition. Our UK winners will compete with contestants from 120 countries participating in the televised 2009 event. Miss Earth is an event of style and glamour where women from all over the world are empowered to bring new meaning to beauty pageants by focusing on and promoting environmental awareness. The Miss Earth delegates during their participation in the pageant are required to plant trees, attend various environmental seminars and educate people on the three R’s (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). |
